The UCLA Bruins are still celebrating, after winning the National Championship over the Oklahoma Sooners. The Bruins beat the Sooners 5-4 in game 2, winning the series 2-0.
The Sooners made things interesting in the top of the 7th, down 4-3 and to their final out, Shay Knighten came through with a solo shot to tie the game. In the bottom half of the inning, with a runner on 2nd, UCLA’s Kinsley Washington lined a single to left, scoring Jacqui Prober for the world series winning run. UCLA won its’ first softball national championship since 2010.
