Austin Allen has quickly established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference in his first season as the starter at Arkansas.
The junior has been even better late in close games, leading the No. 17 Razorbacks (5-2, 1-2 SEC) on three game-winning drives in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Allen’s latest standout late-game performance came in Arkansas’ 34-30 win over No. 23 Mississippi last week, a game in which the Razorbacks trailed with less than five minutes remaining before earning their third straight victory over the Rebels.
Allen was 4-of-5 passing for 35 yards on Arkansas’ game-winning drive, including a 10-yard completion to Keon Hatcher on a fourth-and-4 from midfield.
The Razorbacks are at No. 21 Auburn (4-2, 2-1) on Saturday.
