New England Patriots Wide Receiver Antonio Brown will be eligible to play this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. According to sources, the NFL will not place Brown on the commissioner’s exemption list.
The Associated Press says Brown won’t be on the commissioner’s exempt list because no criminal charges were filed. Brown has been accused of rape and sexual assault in a civil case in Florida by his former trainer. The star wide receiver denies the allegations. ESPN says the league has opened an investigation into brown that will include interviews with the receiver and Britney Taylor, Brown’s former trainer. Taylor is accusing him of sexually assaulting her three times in 2017 and 2018. Taylor has scheduled a meeting with the NFL next week.
