Authorities search for Farmersville kidnapping suspects

FRESNO, Calif. —

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects who kidnapped a Farmersville resident and held the victim for ransom.

The Sheriff’s Office says the victim was kidnapped on September 27th. Shortly after the kidnapping, the suspect demanded a large sum of money from a Lindsay resident, threatening to killed the victim if they did not comply. The family paid the ransom and the victim was released. Law enforcement was called a week later.

One of the suspects, 44-year-old Gerardo Reyes, was arrested at his home in Glendale, Arizona. He was booked at an Arizona jail facility pending extradition back to Tulare County.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is now working to identify two other suspects.
