This week, U.S. Customs and Border Protections (CBP) reports of its efforts in stopping the flow of drugs coming into the United States.
In a release this week, the agency claims that they confiscated about 4 tons of cocaine from several operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
The seizures were part of 4 major seizures that took place from February 27 – March 22, 2021.
During the course of the investigation, 13 drug smugglers at sea were detained with the help of the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy.
The drugs were valued at 152 million dollars.
