Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes dislocated his right kneecap

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without their starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes for sometime.  The reigning NFL Most Valuable Player dislocated his right kneecap in the Chiefs Thursday night game against the Denver Broncos.

The Associated Press says Mahomes will miss 4-6 weeks, the good news is the MRI shows there is no further damage.  In the 2nd quarter, with the Chiefs leading 10-6, he injured his right knee going for the 1st down on 4th and 1 inside the Broncos’ goal. Mahomes tried the quarterback sneak up the middle and Denver’s Derek Wolfe collided into his knee on the tackle, popping out his right knee cap.
