CMU Looking to Upgrade the Campus' Local Theatre

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Robinson Theatre has always been a staple in Colorado Mesa University’s campus life. Now, the university hopes to build a bigger platform for the performing arts program to perform on.

The school is asking for funding from the state as President John Marshall and faculty have big plans in the works for Robinson Theatre. Colorado Mesa is working to renovate the stage and create new opportunities on campus. Students say multiple classes currently coordinate to use the theatre, but with upgrades and more space the possibilites are endless. We will continue to provide updates as the campus works to start renovations.
