CMU Makes State History with the First All-Woman Executive Committee

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — During the 97 years that CMU has been open, this is the first time an all-woman committee holds the top trustee positions. This is not an easy accomplishment. The Governor of Colorado must first appoint all board members. CMU Trustees took it a step further appointing all four women to leadership roles.

Despite making history, these women were not chosen for their gender. They were chosen because of their qualifications and dedication to the Grand Valley. Board members hope this will inspire more women on campus and across the Western Slope to enter public services and take on leadership roles in our community.
