GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Colorado Bandmasters State Qualifying Marching Band Festival took place on Thursday at Stocker Stadium. Western Slope Bands performed for a panel of eight judges to earn their way to the Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA) State Marching Band Festival. Several Western Slope schools qualified for the state festival and will compete later this month.
Central, Fruita Monument, and Grand Junction high schools will compete in the Class 4A/5A CBA State Marching Band Festival on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-30, at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and Palisade will compete with Class 1A-3A bands on Monday, Nov. 1, at Colorado State University at Pueblo.
