Court Rules Against Trump Administration Plan to End DACA

A federal appeals court has ruled against president trump on DACA.

It’s the program that allows immigrants to stay in the U.S. If they are brought into the country as children.

In a two to one decision, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court ruled that the administration violated federal law when it tried to end DACA.

The court says the Department of Homeland Security did not “adequately account” for the effects of ending the program, which encompasses thousands of people.

The ruling overturned a previous in Maryland, but will not have any immediate effect.

That’s because other federal courts have already ruled that DACA should stay in place.
