Southerly flow will keep our temperatures warm for December on the Western Slope. High temperatures will be in the 40s everywhere but Gunnison. We are seeing scattered snow showers over the mountains this morning. Starting at noon we will see lighter rain showers leak into the valley, and heavier showers form to the west of Steamboat. As we turn to the overnight hours we will see heavy rain and snow showers all across the Western Slope. We could see up to a foot of snow fall tonight alone over some of the mountain passes. The Grand Valley will just see rain thanks to the warm temperatures. Organized showers will start to break down late tomorrow morning, but isolated storms will continue into Christmas day. Christmas will be relatively dry, but we will see another winter weather system move in Saturday night into Sunday.
