Drowning victim in Montrose identified

MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — On the morning of Wednesday, January 26, a Montrose man drowned while swimming in Chipeta Lake. The man has been identified as 24-year-old Draven Warren.

Chipeta Lake is located along the Uncompahgre River to the south of Montrose.

The cause of death appears to be drowning and the manner of death is under investigation by the Montrose Police Department and the Montrose County Coroner’s Office of Medical Investigation.  An autopsy has been scheduled.
