The annual Juneteenth Celebration, is being held virtually, due to pandemic. Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day and Freedom Day is held to celebrate the announcement made in TX, on June 19th, 2 years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, that the enslaved were free! Great cause for jubilee and how Juneteenth started. For tickets and to RSVP go to: juneteenthoxnard.org to sign up and for more information. It’s our 30th Anniversary locally. We have entertainment, art & artists, health updates, historical information to name a few exciting things happening in our virtual program to be shown via FB and Zoom.
