Father of Waffle House Shooter Charged for Giving Son Gun

Authorities have filed charges against the father of the man accused in last year’s deadly waffle house shooting in Tennessee.

Jeffery Reinking is facing charges of unlawful delivery of a firearm.

Prosecutors say he gave a gun to his son, Travis Reinking, in 2017 even though he knew his son had been a mental health patient within the previous five years.

Travis Reinking was jailed on murder charges after the April 2018 shooting that left four people dead.

Police say Travis used an AR15 style gun in the rampage.

He pleaded not guilty to a string of charges related to the mass shooting
