Flights departing from Hong Kong were canceled for a second day as protesters cause massive disruption to operations.
Protesters could be heard cheering at the announcement made over the intercom.
They were yelling pro-democracy phrases like “Stand with Hong Kong,” “Fight for Freedom” and “Hong Kong add oil.”
But tensions are running high in the wake of those cancellations.
Protesters and passengers could be seen engaging in brief shouting matches, with frustrated travelers growing weary of the chaotic scene.
Police also entered the airport and clashed with protesters, injuring multiple people.
The airport protests are part of a series of demonstrations that have taken place over the last 10 weeks.
Hong Kong’s chief executive Carrie Lam is warning the demonstrations have pushed the city “to the brink of no return.”
