Fresno PD investigating drive-by shooting that injured one man in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) —

Fresno Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Downtown Fresno. It happened just before 9:30 Tuesday night near U Street and Illinois.

Police said an 18-year-old was standing in front of a house working on a car when another car drove by and someone fired several rounds. The bullets hit the young man in the legs and also struck a home nearby.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a black Acura.

Investigators are now interviewing witnesses.
