There’s some good news if you’re one of the millions of Americans that hit the road every day.
Gas prices could fall below $2 later this year.
Prices have been falling steadily for weeks now and the national average is currently around $2.72 a gallon.
That’s down 17 cents from the highest price we’ve seen this year and down 7 cents in just the past week.
Wholesale prices are falling even faster, which analysts say suggests prices at the pump could continue to fall.
The reason? Experts say it’s due to falling oil prices, in part because of increased U.S. Oil production.
And later this year, as refineries switch away from the more expensive summer blend of gasoline, prices will also go down.
