GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado and the rest of the country are celebrating National School Choice Week, which is designed to raise awareness about all types of education.
GOAL high school celebrates National School Choice Week every year. The statewide program strives to provide individualized, educational opportunities. Students here can get a head start on college credits for free.
Its concurrent enrollment program creates an environment students say makes them feel like they’re getting a quality education.
I learned that I have the opportunity to work at my own pace,” GOAL High School Freshman Annabelle Reeves reflects, “I get to choose how my education is drawn out this year and what I get to learn and classes I get to take.”
“At the end of the day, it kind of depends on the goal you have,” GOAL High School Sophomore Caiden Phillips elaborates, “You want to do college courses? They offer that . If you want to do trade school, they offer that, or if you wanna graduate early, they offer that.”
GOAL High School its hands-on learning with venture day field trips. it also offers social opportunities like game nights and prom.
