Grand Junction's First 24-Hour Rock Climbing Gym

GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (KREX) — “We’re a new facility here in Grand Junction, and were hoping to bring in a big community experience and kind of push forward Grand Junction’s rock climbing.” says Director of Climbing, Nathan Creswell.

Grip Bouldering wants to bring the rock-climbing community together. They also understand that everyone isn’t available at the same time. the 24-hour membership is provided to, “Be flexible in their hours for people that work kind of off-hours or late into the evening that still maybe don’t get a chance.” says Creswell.

Even if you’re not a seasoned rock climber, Grip Bouldering can give you something to reach for.

“We offer a lot of youth programs. Intro to boulder classes to try and guide people’s initial experience, and so we really want to focus on the newcomers or people who have interest but don’t know where to start.” Creswell added.

But don’t worry seasoned vets or people who may just need a refresher. They also have, “Half hour-long classes that we’ll offer to members free of charge that want a more in-depth orientation into climbing.” Creswell stated.

You’ll have to act fast to get into classes. It’s only four to group and the trainer.

“We’ll teach you some of the basics of climbing and kind of get your feet wet and let you go on from there.” Voiced Creswell

If you’re a slow climber or inexperienced as I am, don’t worry. They’ll be open all night.
