At least 200 people have been declared missing Friday after a dam burst at a Brazilian mine.
The breach caused severe flooding in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais.
Brazilian mining company ‘Vale SA’ says the break happened about 280 miles northwest of Rio De Janeiro, washing out roads and filling rivers full of mud.
In a recent statement, vale’s press department said a triage area had been set up in a nearby sports field, where victims were receiving medical treatment.
The statement also said more than 50 firefighters and six aircraft had been deployed to the area.
