GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — In recognition of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, one local organization has come together to spread awareness.
This can be a difficult topic to discuss. This January, a local group called Western Slope Against Trafficking started the conversation by holding an event to teach people about signs, prevention and how human trafficking impacts the Grand Valley.
For more information on future events and local prevention efforts, go to westernslopeagainsttrafficking.com. To report tips, request referrals, or get help you can call Colorado’s Human Trafficking Hotline at (866)455-5075.
