GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Mesa County Public Health has issued a no-burn advisory in response to fire safety concerns. The advisory is in effect for Wednesday, May 11 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

No burning of any kind is allowed while the advisory is in effect.

High winds also played a factor in the decision with the National Weather Service having issued a High Wind Warning with southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
