Montrose High School on lockdown
MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — After receiving reports of a person possibly with a weapon on campus at Montrose High School, the Montrose Police Department (MPD) is conducting a room-by-room sweep of the school. The building was placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure.
According to officials with the City of Montrose, the call was made about a possible weapon on campus at 11:38 a.m.
Multiple agencies responded to the call, and are currently clearing the school of any possible threats.
No weapons have been found at this time.
