Nationals placed Trea Turner on Injured List Due to a Broken Finger

The Washington Nationals say they’re going to be without their starting shortstop for some time.  The Nationals officially placed Trea Turner on the injured list due to a broken right index finger.  The injury happened in the bottom of the 1st during their 8-2 loss against the Philadephia Phillies.  Turner squared for a bunt, the pitch which was a little inside, hit his bat for a strike, and well as his right index finger, he left the game after that pitch.  Nats General Manager Mike Rizzo did not say when the team expects Turner will return, but says they will have to wait until the bone heals.
