The New England Patriots now have some extra room in their salary cap, after settling two grievances.
The NFL Network says the Pats have an extra 6 million dollars, one of the grievances was former Wide Receiver Antonio Brown, after being cut in September due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Brown filed a grievance seeking his full $1 million base salary and $9 million signing bonus. Brown will now receive $5 million. The other grievance involved the estate of late tight end Aaron Hernandez. The Hernandez’s estate was looking for $6 million dollars, but it will receive $3.45 million. Hernandez was found guilty of murder in 2015, two years later, the tight end committed suicide.
