Roger Federer will not Play in French Open

Roger Federer will not play in this year’s French Open in Paris following a knee surgery.

Federer had arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday.  He said on Twitter he has been experiencing pain in his right knee.  He hopes to be back in action later this year in time for the Wimbledon.  This is his second surgery of his career.  His first was in February of 2016 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.  Federer has not won a grand slam championship since the Australian Open in 2018.
