Even though he did not play the past season, Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates officially announced his retirement.
Gates last played in 2018, he had 28 receptions for 333 yards and two touchdowns that season. He spent his entire 16-year career with the San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers. The 8-time Pro Bowler has 955 career catches, with more than 11,000 yards, he scored 116 times. He came into the league in 2003, undrafted out of Kent State.
