Tensions continue in Bolivia following last month’s controversial elections…
In the town of Vinto in central Bolivia, Morales’ opponents set fire to city hall and dragged Mayor Maria Patricia Arce out into the street.
Protesters also cut her hair and doused her in red paint.
She was later handed over to police, still covered in red paint.
Opposition leaders accused Morales — who would be assuming his fourth term — of voter fraud and demanded a full recount and new elections.
It’s turning into another violent day on the streets of Chile’s capital as well.
Where more clashes broke out between anti-government protesters and police.
Those protests — now in their third week — have left 20 people dead.
