Democratic Washington governor Jay Inslee has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race.
He announced his decision on wednesday in an MSNBC interview.
Inslee, whose signature issue was combatting climate change, recently reached the donor threshold for the third democratic debate.
However, he was not likely to qualify because he hadn’t yet hit the polling threshold.
Inslee is in his second term as Washington governor and is eligible to run for re-election in 2020.
