World Series going to Globe Life

In Major League Baseball news, the league and the Players’ Association have agreed where to play the playoffs.  They have decided the World Series will take place in the Lone Star State.

The biggest prize of the Fall classic will be decided at the Texas Rangers’ new ballpark, the Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.  This will be the first time the sport’s championship will be played entirely at one site since 1944.  They are going to the bubble design, to minimize the spread of the coronavirus.  The virus caused 45 postponements this season.  The AL Division Series will be at Petco Park and Dodger Stadium, and the NL Division Series is set for Globe Life and Minute Maid parks.  Petco park will hold the ALCS after the division series, and Globe Life will be the home of the NLCS.
